A Spring-like winter makes for some interesting combinations. I’ve been feeling pretty blessed to be able to don a leather jacket in Toronto in January and February, and a good wool circle scarf can beat any remnants of cold that seep through an outfit. As a transitional piece, I decided to make use of this thrifted floral chiffon jacket I got the other day and layer it under the leather jacket to add some colour to it. Basically, to make it look less boring. February weather can be pretty drab.

Woke up to a rainy April-like day in January. Reminded me a lot of the horrible first morning I spent with friends on our trip to NY, literally wandering through Central Park in the pouring rain in an attempt to cross to the Upper East Side, which we somehow miraculously did.
Quite appropriately, I wanted to combat the dreary grossness of the weather today with some brighter and shinier clothes. Like morning coffee, it’s one of the few things that can pick me up and help me get through a grey day like this.

I re-used this ugly Christmas sweater for several parties this year, but I actually kinda love it now.
You know what, yeah, I’m jealous of how easily she can wear this outfit and still look carelessly awesome. <3
